Again, what about the children? Have they no chance? I know we shouldn’t assume, but on this one I’m gonna take a stab and do just that. “I assume the reason this disabled young woman was still in the mother’s home was because a check was coming in!” My question is, if that’s true, then why wasn’t social services involved? Better yet, why didn’t someone report this disabled young woman’s situation. It appears that at least one other person knew of her fate…her uncle? And I have no doubt her mother brought people home from time to time. Oh, if her company consisted of drug addicts, that would explain why Rebecca went unnoticed.
Disabled, twenty two year-old, cerebral palsy victim, Rebecca Cotten was found severely malnourished and unable to communicate due to her disability. She had been previously removed from 40 year-old Jennifer’s home last years after she was found in a hot car; left there by Jennifer while she was doing drugs. Following that incident, Rebecca was sent to live with her uncle, Jennifer’s brother; who brought her back due to his inability to care for a special needs person.
