Life hacks serve to get us to a better place during good times as well as bad. They are lifesavers when obvious solutions or known fixes cease to be optimal, effective or even possible. By far Life Hacks For Coping After The Love Is Gone work, especially Biblical life hacks.

However, Christian life hacks command a lane of their own. Life hacks of this magnitude are of a divine nature, convoluted with Scripture to assure proper credit is given when executed throughout our lifetimes. To decipher Scripture that embodies life hacks having knowledge of God’s Word is necessary. In absence of that knowledge it is impossible to capture the existence or evidence of the hack.

Take Ecclesiastes 4:11 ( KJV), ” if two lie down together, they will keep warm; But how can one be warm alone?” On the surface, and to the unsaved the verse appears to merely point out that when two people lay close together in a cold environment body heat generated from each forms a natural heat barrier. While this is true, there is more to the story. For starters, what jumps out to believer’s is the power of two people endeared to each other, and evidence of a divine life hack in the event two people who love each other find themselves exposed to the cold with no heat options to keep them warm.

For the foolishness of God is wiser than human wisdom, and the weakness of God is stronger than human strength. 1 Corinthians 1:25

Simply put, the Lord is the Master of life hacks given He knows us intricately which means He also know every there is not in sync with each other and in love with each other. How do we know that you might ask? Well, the Bible tells us so. “But even the very hairs of your head are all numbered. Fear not therefore: ye are of more value than many sparrows.” Luke 12:7 KJV:

For people who have gone through or who are going through heart-wrenching separations it may be difficult to wrap your head around 1 Corinthians 13:13 (KJV). Perhaps, the pain you feel sows doubt about faith, hope and love lasting forever, or even that love is the greatest of the three.

If you are one of these people don’t feel guilty about feeling the way you feel. The Lord understands. And, He will get you through this if you give him a chance. Time really does heal all wounds. This is not to say that time makes us forget about hurt associated with romantic love but it does take away the sting, eventually. The way to give God a chance is to trust him to take the wheel. Taking the wheel entails surrendering all that your heart longs to hold on to. For some reason broken hearts have the power and tendency to propel us to spend way too much tie drowning in sorrow. There us some truth to the old saying that loving somebody with all your heart can hurt so good that it stops feeling bad. As long as this period does not last indefinitely or trigger self-destructive behavior, it’s just par for the course.

To surrender is to let go of everything instrumental in holding the heart hostage in a manner that prevents healing. Know that God knows the depth of our sorrow before it manifests. If this were not so the words penned in Ecclesiastes 4:11 ( KJV) would literally only be referencing body heat. However, this verse clenches a much deeper allusion than meets the eye. To grapple the essence of what happens when two bodies enjoin for reasons other than sex Scripture breaks it down. “Again, if two lie down together, they will keep warm; But how can one be warm alone?4:11 ( KJV) To comprehend the underlying emphasis one must know what it feels like to embrace another so close that you can feel their heart beat! Think about it. It takes sometime to warm up if you are cold?

Divorce and break-ups effect people differently but one thing each have in common is that pieces must be picked up to carry on. Ideally, pieces need to be put back together as well even if the outcome A lot of people tend to take break up seriously. They allow break up to rule their
life. This affects their personal and professional relationship in a negative
manner. Health of the individual is also affected badly.

Again, if two lie down together, they will keep warm; But how can one be warm alone? Ecclesiastes 4:11 (KJV)

Scriptural Life Hacks Unveiled

  1. The success of every marriage or romantic relationship hangs on the balance of true love. As it may be, the end of a relationship does not always extinguish the love two people share. In the same way, just because two people fall out of sensuous love is not a declaration of no love at all. Essentially, it is possible to still love someone dearly yet not be in love. In addition, it is possible to no longer like someone as a person but still love them with all your heart. That’s the way love goes! Three things will last forever—faith, hope, and love—and the greatest of these is love- 1 Corinthians 13:13 NLT”
  2. The value of two people walking in sync, loving as one and at least longing to stay together “until death do the part,” cannot be under estimated. The key word here is two. The number 2 is a mighty number when it involves a couple. In fact, it is so authoritative that the number 3 is unwelcomed in the mix, as in three is a crowd. The Lord intended for marriage to be sacred, between two people who love each other and who take vows seriously. Two Lastly, “If two lie down together, they will keep warm; But how can one be warm alone?” Ecclesiastes 4:11 ( KJV)
  3. Don’t just pretend to love others. Really love them. Hate what is wrong. Hold tightly to what is good– Romans 12:9 (NLT)
  4. The Father’s goal inspired his design to pave way for an emboldened heart concerted in love, and capable of enjoying and comprehending the wealth of Gods gifts which encompasses wisdom and knowledge. “My goal is that they may be encouraged in heart and united in love, so that they may have the full riches of complete understanding, in order that they may know the mystery of God, namely, Christ, 3 in whom are hidden all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge.” Colossians 2:2-3
  5. Breaking up is traumatic for most couples. Perhaps most challenging is how to carry on without losing oneself after splitting up with a partner. It is not uncommon to encounter struggles associated with closure and starting over again. That said, with God you are able to take control of your life sooner if you humble yourself and admit that without him you can do nothing. Whatever you do, don’t become bitter, or make children pawns caught in the midst of break-up chaos.
  6. Don’t scheme against each other. Stop your love of telling lies that you swear are the truth. I hate all these things, says the Lord ”– Zechariah 8:17 NLT
  7. The world would have fewer divorces or breakups if more couples would take Scripture and marital vows serious, that applies to both men and women. No longer is getting a divorce something to be ashamed of, as it should not be. However, getting a divorce should be a last resort whenever possible and if one values God’s Word on marriage. “In the same way, you husbands must give honor to your wives. Treat your wife with understanding as you live together. She may be weaker than you are, but she is your equal partner in God’s gift of new life. Treat her as you should so your prayers will not be hindered”- 1 Peter 3:7
  8. One of the most disturbing behaviors many couples engage in while at odds with each other is intolerance of each other. Seemingly, far too many go from hot to cold as soon as things cease to be as they were in the beginning of the relationship. Scripture provides a brilliant life hack for getting through the “everything you do rubs me the wrong way” period! In words a child can understand, Colossians 3:13 instructs us to: “Be tolerant with each other and, if someone has a complaint against anyone, forgive each other. As the Lord forgave you, so also forgive each other.” Colossians 3:13
  9. Don’t think God did not envision the difficulty that many new-found single people would come to know as a result of divorce or separation. When we let go of the old and usher in the new, God begins to do a new thing in our lives. “Forget the former things; do not dwell on the past. See, I am doing a new thing! Now it springs up; do you not perceive it?” (Isaiah 43:19
  10. In a world obsessed with wealth, power, and prestige there is no shortage of people marrying for the wrong reasons. Sadly, examples such as these involve at least one person pretending to love the other to get something other in return other than love. This is not good and goes against what the institution of marriage stands for. Romans 12:9 NLT warns us: “Don’t just pretend to love others. Really love them. Hate what is wrong. Hold tightly to what is good.” Romans 12:9 NLT

In the end scores of people caught in the crossfire of parting ways turn against each other with no regard or respect for the love they once knew. This type of behavior appalls the Father because it goes against everything He established the institution of marriage to be.

Don’t scheme against each other. Stop your love of telling lies that you swear are the truth. I hate all these things, says the Lord ”- Zechariah 8:17 NLT

Conclusion

And said, ‘For this reason a man shall leave his father and mother and be joined to his wife, and the two shall become one flesh’? So then, they are no longer two but one flesh. Therefore what God has joined together, let not man separate.” Matthew 19:5-6

Marriage  In the same way, you husbands must give honor to your wives. Treat your wife with understanding as you live together. She may be weaker than you are, but she is your equal partner in God’s gift of new life. Treat her as you should so your prayers will not be hindered- 1 Peter 3:7 N
Be tolerant with each other and, if someone has a complaint against anyone, forgive each other. As the Lord forgave you, so also forgive each other- Colossians 3:13

The best way to overcome divorce or any kind of breakup for that matter is to turn over a new leaf, starting with taking your hurt to the Lord in prayer. What He did for others to get them through He will do for you. Turning the matter over to God is the first step to avoiding making poor decisions when faced with inevitable ramifications associated with ending relationships. Whether it’s financial, about the children or the risk of entering into a new relationship before putting the old one to bed, God can steer you in the right direction.

Another reason to seek the Lord during the divorce period is because some people really struggle to bridle words and emotions. Losing your temper when interacting with partners during the separation process can be frustrating. But, prayer can change things and calm unsavory spirits. In addition, don’t rule out talking to a professional because seeing a good therapist can be just what the doctor ordered. Another thing, therapy can help with addressing issues and behavior preventing you from being able to communicate in a civil manner with your partner.

Believe it or not, losing the one you love can result in you forgetting how to communicate in a loving way with them. God help you if you never communicated in a civil way. This thorn will certainly complicate healing and honing the skills needed to move on.

At any rate, the outcome to strive for is an amicable one that reflects respect and a semblance of the love the two of you once had. Learning to be kind again, or to start showing kindness toward each other spares both parties from undesirable and unnecessary suffering. Lastly, if both parties try really hard to o get through the process without incurring or leaving scars of regret and hurt both will benefit in the end.
