After taking an almost complete hiatus from Facebook for more than a year I returned. Actually, I’m still not engaging like I used to. My interaction these days consists of sharing many of my WordPress posts on my Facebook page:

After finishing up my WordPress post today I hopped over to my Facebook page to check up on it. Social Network sites need monitoring? Well, low and behold somebody really took issue with my post from a few days ago “The Sins God Hate Most Hurt Other people.” Frankly, this is not a post that I would expect to get attitude on. Basically, the post addresses Christian matters that only believers can relate to.
That said, if a reader is not a Christian or believer then my reference to committing sin, or sin being something God hates should provoke him or her to move on or just read.
If only that were the case here. Below you can read a comment that a woman left on my Facebook page in response to one of my WordPress posts from a few days ago. Apparently, “The Sins God Hate Most Hurt Other People infuriated her?” I read her comment several times in an attempt to understand the point of her contention but to no avail. I keep asking myself, “how does any of what she’s spitting fire about apply to me or my post, as a believer.
So let’s break it down for the sake of common sense.
Her Comment:
“Open mouth and insert foot. You contradict yourself throughout this entire “sermon”.
By the way…some tribes live isolated on islands who know nothing of God or the Bible or sin. It’s people like you who would land your personal jet and invade their innocence and peace and when they shun you, you’ll call them sinners. I don’t know how you landed on my news feed, but I can assure you..it won’t happen again!”

“By the way…some tribes live isolated on islands who know nothing of God or the Bible or sin.” Where pray tell are these islands or any place for that matter where nobody does anything wrong. If you’re attacking me as a nonbeliever then the word “sin” is merely replaced with the word “wrong.” Even if you’re an Atheist you have to know that no man is perfect, which means he or she has made mistakes or done something wrong? - This one made me laugh because it’s so out there that only somebody who’s not in touch with the real world could spit such nonsense. “It’s people like you who would land your personal jet and invade their innocence and peace and when they shun you, you’ll call them sinners.” Okay, I grew up on the south side of Chicago. My mom picked cotton when she was a girl growing up in Mississippi, and dad dropped out of school to go to the army so that he could help his mother, my grandmother have a better life when they lived in Mobile, Alabama. Personal Jet?
- Wow, really? I didn’t land on your feed or page, you landed on mine! Of course I just had to see her page when she suggested that I landed on it? Not to my surprise, she reminds me of some of the people mom said she picked cotton for, if you get my drift. ”
Her: “I don’t know how you landed on my news feed, but I can assure you..it won’t happen again!”
At 62-years old, I’m not about to let anybody discourage me from speaking Truth. Nobody has to agree with anything I say, nor I with them. On another note, “please know that it is imperative to recognize where you stand spiritually before crafting responses to faith-based content on social network platforms.” It’s not rocket-science.
Believers write from a Christian’s point of view, which is faith-based and should always reflect Bible supported beliefs. That said, believers and nonbelievers can never realistically argue about the specifics of sinful nature or other divine inspired subjects because they embrace totally different ideologies. Normally neither is willing to budge, unless of course, on or the other spiritual forces is at work.
Oh my, enough of this. SMH!
